The Body Art Model Code (BAMC) is not law. The National Environmental Health Association is not responsible for creating regulations for body art studios and practitioners. However, NEHA has created a “model code” that governing bodies, like your local city, county, or state health agencies can use for reference when creating, reviewing, or updating their health codes for piercing and tattooing.
